Break from traditional land-based game viewing with a boat trip in the Selous Game Reserve. Selous is a sprawling and outstanding wildlife reserve that is fed by the Rufiji River, the largest in Tanzania, and where a diverse collection of ecosystems attracts considerable numbers of animals. Its lakes and swamps are connected by a byzantine network of channels that make for excellent and exciting water safaris that allow you to slowly drift along while getting very close to animals and birds. Crocodile and hippo will be easy to find as will many of the larger mammal species that frequent the river to drink and cool off. Lion may be seen lapping gently at the water’s edge, and zebra find safety in numbers and tend to drink in groups. Bird life in this area is an absolute treat where majestic kingfisher dart across the sky and colourful pelicans drift through the reeds. |

Make memories to last a lifetime on a balloon safari in the Serengeti National Park. This massive piece of untamed wilderness is one of the most famed in Africa as it is host to an immense variety of animals and some of the densest concentrations of game on the continent. Your balloon safari will take place over the epicentre of it all, the Seronera region, which sees the passing of the annual wildebeest migration and spectacular kills on a daily basis. Sail over seas of grazing antelope, zebra and buffalo and observe how the wildlife begins their morning trek to the waterholes as the sun rises in the sky and casts a golden glow over the landscape below you. This exclusive safari experience will afford you with excellent aerial views that are not possible from the ground and concludes with a memorable champagne breakfast amidst the splendour and beauty of the Serengeti. |
