Get lost in paradise with a visit to Inhaca and Portuguese Island. These two idyllic islands lie not far from the Maputo Bay, surrounded by turquoise water that laps gently onto white, sandy shores. Inhaca offers fabulous beaches, a variety of restaurants, markets, bars, a marine museum and an old lighthouse and is also a favourite location for bird watchers as it is known for its rich and varied bird populations. Portuguese Island is tiny and uninhabited, a place where you can kick off your shoes and explore the sandy coves and beautiful tropical forests. The island is only 6 km long and it is possible to walk from one end to the other within about an hour while refreshments can be purchased along the way from kiosks. Umbrellas and sun loungers are provided and those looking for some exercise can try beach volleyball and tennis. Transfers from Maputo and lunch are included in your visit. |
